Welcome! Iron Grip: Marauders is a game about being a Marauder Captain, a pirate who travels aboard his airship, fighting battles over gold and other resources while building an army of soldiers and vehicles, researching new technology and sending out smuggling convoys.
There are two forms of gameplay in Marauders. The first is the strategic browser based section of the game, where a captain builds vehicles, trains infantry and researches new tech. This is also where battles are initiated, smuggling convoys are set up, and communication with other captains is managed. The other kind of gameplay is in the 3D battles, where captains control their units in hands-on fights.
What To Do?
A Marauder Captain has many things he can do. Just take a look at the lists below if you're unsure about where to start!
- Raid enemy bases for resources
- Fight to defend your smuggling convoys from greedy enemies
- Take part in a series of coordinated battles to defeat a Boss
- Fight in 1v1 PvP battles against other players
- Join a Tournament and fight for the Grand Prize!
- Earn experience, gain new levels, and get access to new areas, technology and weaponry
- Research new units and technology
- Obtain exclusive units from the Black Market
The goal of Iron Grip: Marauders is the same as always. Fight, win, and grow stronger. Leaderboards show who is moving up and down in score, and captains can compete with each other. Work together with other captains to defeat Marauder Bosses, sharing the booty, or go it alone.
Players will need to find a balance between taking more smuggling trucks for greater profit, or taking more defensive units for greater security.
These exceptional individuals are an important part of marauder crews. You will need them to lead your forces into battle and to oversee your smuggling convoys. As they fight and train, they will gain experience and power as they level up.
You can get more heroes by fighting your way through the quest missions.
To help a new captain get his feeling for the world of Iron Grip: Marauders, there are several resources available to help. In-game, there are starter quests intended to help the captain learn the basic systems. For specific questions, please see the How Do I...? section for articles answering commonly asked questions.
